Black Opal, Amethyst, Lapis lazuli
Black Opal: This stone was mentioned earlier but this time it is referred to a specific type of opal, the black opal.
The unique silicon structure of the opal has the amazing refractory properties that create illusions to our eyes and the opal will always amaze those who stare into one, especially
with a good light source.
The most rare of the opal is the black against red coloration and so would also bare the highest price at the marketplace.
Stories throughout history describe the wearing of the opal to bring powers and fortune and most of the stories caution to treat the stone with respect and care or trouble will ensue.
The points of the stories are more effective than telling all of them here.
Amethyst: Actually a violet variety of quartz the amethyst has been attributed to the enhancement of psychic abilities for centuries and the Romans believed that it prevented
intoxication. The name itself comes from the Greek "amethystos" which translates to not drunken.
For the magical effects it is known for peace, protection, courage, happiness and love as well as curing addiction to alcohol.
The properties of the magical realm are to be considered as qualities that you have within you that you are able to focus on in a more direct manner when using the proper stone for
whatever reason you have dictated or studied for it's use.
Lapis lazuli: This stone is a relatively rare semi-precious stone with no direct associations to a month of birth and I find this odd as there are records of this stone being mined as far
back as 6000 years.
