All Cerebral Excitants
Once again this statement has to do with a basic infinitum, as all drugs are cerebral excitants.
You could say that there are downers or depressants and these wouldn't excite the cerebral cortex. Once again this is untrue.
First of all it'll help to examine what the cerebral is.
It's given here as a very general term but divided by science into a multitude of areas in dealing with the brain itself.
The two sides of the brain are called cerebral hemispheres and the grey matter that surrounds them is called the cerebral cortex.
The hemispheres contain white matter from which the body's nervous system stems.
The cortex (an outer gelatinous covering) contains trees of cells that come within nanometers from each other and the thought process occurs by impulses transferring between
those trees of cells. By jumping across the gap between them.
They're not actually fused together (touching) but have a gap between them. This gap is called the synapse.
When a part of the brain communicates to a part of the body or even another part of the brain a signal (particle) is sent through a chain (network) of synapses, which mankind has
named the thought process and can also be seen as reaction, response and/or reflex.
This needs to be considered but not overly addressed.
Here we are factoring in the aspect(s) of communication within the thought process and once again repeating that communication is occurring by a particle traveling across a gap.
It's traveling from its origin to its destination. From where it began to where it's going. If the network/path to where it's going is blocked or interrupted the eventual affects (or lack
thereof) are obvious and the particle doesn't reach its intended destination resulting in some form of lacking, ineffectiveness or unresponsiveness.
These are vital details concerning the workings of not only the mind but also the general nature of things overall.
Drug(s)
All drugs are forms of poison. This is to say that if you take enough of any drug it will kill you. Any drug. Even coffee, aspirin, for that matter drinking too much water, too fast,
can also kill you. Although water isn't, necessarily classified as a drug.
In the spiritual context we can look at poisons to be comparative to what's called evils. What do we do with evil/poison in science? How do we work with this nature?
Throughout history we have concocted potions, powders and pills from poisons. We call them medicines and they are used for cures and we call these concoctions drugs.
Of course we're also aware of the fact that there are multitude of natural elements and plants, which if picked and eaten will cause very likely reaction(s), progressively, either a
speeding or slowing of the heart rate and bodily functions, thought (thinking) included.
All poisons won't kill the body right away. There are factors involved concerning the size of the body, the strength (toxicity) of the poison, amount of exposure and the way that it
enters the body will all determine the effect(s) it'll have on the individuals body and mind. All
determined by the individual's metabolism. (How this particular body handles this specific substance.)
There are basically three fazes to all drugs. Stimulation, Saturation, Overdose.
With the first is stimulation. Even a drug that's made or used to sedate you and/or knock you out will have the initial effects of stimulating the cerebral cortex, which creates a
period of excitement.
During this first period of effect a person will commonly get the feeling of being more intelligent and having a greater access to their own thoughts and knowledge. In a way this is
actually true.
Due to the fact that, as in nature, the stronger survive and the weaker are killed off. It has been studied by science that this also occurs in the brain, with the brain cells.
As the weaker cells are killed off the stronger cells are more available and for a time you are actually capable of clearer thinking.
Not unlike cutting the dead leaves and branches from a rose bush.
Which allows more of its energy to be devoted to the new growth rather than using energy to try to sustain the parts of the bush that are dying.
Though this euphoric period will be far shorter in time with a depressant or downer than with what's called an anti-depressant or a stimulant.
The term drug in itself covers a vast area of reference. Our bodies release insulin from our pancreas this is known as a drug also and yet created within our own bodies, commonly.
Still the fact remains that should you have a large amount of insulin and ingest too much of it. You'll kill your body.
You also may want to consider how many brain cells you can afford to loose. One thing bodies are good at is the re-creating of cells. It's a part of healing.
All of these reflections of the physical nature should be considered from the spiritual level.
Our bodies also create pain relievers known as endorphins that are released from the body though the channels of thought and reaction.
These are commonly stimulated through excitement, danger, stress, orgasm and even death.
In the spiritual alchemy it's considered that the development and achievement through the combination of body, mind, spirit, is what determines the rise and progression from
student to master.
After all they are degrees of achievement and one (Master) will never stop being the other (student) although the other (student) could only rise to be the one (Master).
One of the most important points presented in all this is the fact that you can't do away with poisons. Negativity, Anger, Pride, Lust, Greed or Demons.
That they exist to be used and applied, for their proper purposes and in their given respect(s) toward the healing nature, within the physical realm and in a more creative and
positive aspects of our daily lives. After all, how do you feed yourself without killing something else?
This is the similarity of the spiritual in dealing with what's called evil.
You'll never do away with it or eliminate it. It exists to be applied in its proper respect and used for the job that it was created for.
The building of Solomon's temple is a good example of this comparison.
Where it's been deciphered that King Solomon, having a great command over the spiritual realm used all manner of spirits to create his temple both angelic and demonic.
Once again a comparative reality that's worth more for related information than for its absolute truth. I'm not here to tell you what to believe but advise what to compare.
So now back to cerebral excitant. It's common for people to have an excitant in the morning known as coffee.
Anything known as a stimulant would be (more specifically) defined as a cerebral excitant.
However it's been discovered throughout medical history that each person is affected differently, depending on a variety of reasons.
Commonly called their metabolism.
As an example; Coffee (or another form of stimulant) is prescribed to hyperactive individuals to mellow them out.
Due to the way that human bodies and the individual chemical balances within those bodies, handles the substance.
This recognition of being similar but not the same is important. It is definitely worth considering and an issue that will come up several more times within this work.
