Agate and Opal

For millennium the qualities of all stones have been categorized, classified and recognized and so many authors will tell you as a matter of fact

when actually in the physical universe there are a very few things, in relation, that apply to the everyone or always concept.

Similar to the drug concepts I just mentioned, in the preceding section, there are similarities with the relationships in dealing with the use of stones.

Although I find it frustrating when the so called experts of so very many areas allow, what I consider to be important omissions to go by, like it's no big deal.

I'll try not to glaze by important things. I'll be the first to admit that in my writing that I'm researching from an extreme variety of sources.

Sources that I consider to be reliable and yet still compare, one to the other, for similarities and any differences.

Agate: In dealing with the Agate, as mentioned in the previous chapter there are an extreme variety of agates in the planet and each of these varieties

are considered to carry different properties that affect the work of the person that's applying the stone for whatever reason they've decided.

The powers listed for agates are vast as well due to the fact that there's such a wide number and each has their own considered effect.

Here I'll make a general list of the properties that are, or have been given to the magical stone called agate.

When you take the time to study the written considerations of this stone one of the most commonly used terms you'll see is protection, warding

off or guarding against, once again a vast variety of evils or undesirable physical or spiritual situations.

The agate is also attributed to: Power, victory, healing, courage, happiness, energy, peace, sterility, stumbling, abundance, insect bites,

scrying, honesty, psychic ability, fertility, snake bites, stress, relaxing, completions, intestinal trouble, longevity, love, skin disease, envy, anger,

demonic possession, scorpion bites, treasure hunting, political ascendancy, gardening, faithfulness, learning and memory.

To name the bulk of the uses I've found that are attributed to the agate in different cultures worldwide.

As you can see it has a great deal of relations for a vast number of reasons.

In dealing with the mixing of potions you should realize that even on a microscopic level all things are related in each their proper respect.

This is one of the main vitalities of quantum physics. Quantum in itself being derived from the Latin "quantus = how much".

This is the reason I have the potion fluid condenser mixed into the ink that I've printed my cards from. Agate is a part of that potion.

Finely powered agate is actually in the ink. The list of ingredients are as follows:

Angelica Root (7 pts) (powdered), Chamomile (7 pts), Gold Tincture (7 pts), Eyebright (5 pts), Jasmine (4 pts), Franc incense (1.2 pts)(powdered), Myrrh (1.2 pts) (powdered),

Lemon (peel only) (3 pts), Powdered Agate at @ (.003 pts), Powdered Rose Quartz at @ (.003 pts), Iron at @ (.0007 pts). Albeit microscopic amounts.

The fact remains that the cards themselves, were printed with this fluid added to the ink itself.

To create a certain effect in dealing with the retention of the energy of any given individual.

Stones in and of themselves have long been considered to act as a recording devise. Holding information and then later releasing that information to the sensitive individual.

With all of the mentioned correspondences it's no wonder that this stone is associated with the card called Magician.

You only have to pick up and look at any common form of agate to notice all of the details concerning its formation, layering and coloration.

Agate shows as a semi-precious birthstone for May (Emerald is precious)

Opal

Opal: The Opal has long been a prized gemstone.

Any study of this gemstone will reveal that ninety seven percent of the worlds Opals come from Australia.

They've also been found in Idaho, Nevada, Mexico, Brazil, Ethiopia and West Africa.

As mentioned earlier stones have been acclaimed by many a mystic to act as recorders and in this respect are considered to be very effective in capturing and retaining the

thoughts, feelings, and vibrations of the person that decides to use them.

Because Opal has a very high water content, between 3% and 20% (due to the way it was formed from the silica deposits left behind by receding seas millions of years ago) it's

considered to be more of a negative polarity from an electro-magnetic viewpoint. It's a highly complex formation of natural development.

On a molecular level the Opal has a great deal of silicon within its structure.

The components on an atomic level create optical effects that have only been most recently studied over the recent past 100 years.

Much could be written here about how electrons are block and wavelengths of light are manipulated by the make up and structure of this very unique stone.

Due to the photonic-crystal structure of the Opal the vast and unique spectrum that's visually displayed has the appearance to the eye as translucent and even glowing in certain

areas of the stone.

Yet there are qualities within its structure that will also block the electron (light particle) completely, creating what's referred to as an optical band gap wherein that particular part

of the stone appears, visually, to show no refraction of light what so ever.

This stone is fascinating and spectacular to view due to the way that light's refracted and also blocked by the Opal.

In these ways there are interesting illusions created on a subatomic level.

You could even call it the Yin Yang of electro magnetism contained within one stone.

I could get more involved with the scientific studies in the way that the Opal reacts with light, photonic particles and electrons but I'd be drifting too far from the path.

I'm certain that you can see the interesting complexity that the Opal presents in this area of correspondence.

The way that light's redirected by the qualities of this stone can be compared to the spectrum that you see when you look at a bit of oil or

gasoline spilled on a water covered road or even the outer surface of a soap bubble and the amazing number and amounts of colors that are displayed.

Magically the stone's been used for peace and calming. But also used for the attraction of financial success and for greater power politically.

Opal comes with many names. Black, White, Fire, Crystal, Boulder, Queens, Milk and another thirteen famous opals which have been named for different reasons.

In October the Opal shows as a precious stone in the modern (with Tourmaline as the semi-precious stone) but in the traditional the Aquamarine is October's birthstone .
