Path #12: Kether to Binah

As mentioned in the preceding chapter the relative position of this path is along the right side of the brain as it corresponds to the human body compared to the image shown on

the card. The previous area was Kether (Crown) to Chokma (Wisdom) and this one is Kether (Crown) to Binah (Understanding).

This is curious in relation, as one hemisphere is considered to deal with more logical and the other with more cognitive.

One with the more calculated, one with the more intuitive.

From the cold and calculating logical to the emotional and irrational feeling.  Also, once again, it's interesting that these natures were considered long before our modern

psychiatric methods and scientific analysis of brain function ever existed. Thousands of years before they existed.

Although there are debates, psychiatric and physical science, concerning these left and right operations of the brain function.

Debates always (commonly) bring up the possibility of opposites and reversals.

In the art (method) of path working, it deals with much more of a combination of logical and intuitive, mixed and set by the individual that has the interest in actually trying it.

There are a vast number of authors that reverse the essential locations of these areas and there are others that have them set in, what I consider to be, their proper perspective.

As with the function of the brain itself and the part of the brain that's active for a left handed or right-handed person varies scientifically, so to we have the fundamental

differences available for consideration in this work also.

Like its not complicated enough, now we also have to consider a reversal. Are you left-handed? Are you right handed?

No, in this book I'll be addressing everything from the perspective of the right-handed person.

If you're left-handed and this presents confusion for you then consider how ambidextrous you are. 

I apologize for any frustration this causes. Although the truth remains the same despite what our opinion is.

There will always be fundamental truths that are unchanging for all of us in the physical universe.

If, for instance, you put your finger to a flame, you'll burn your finger. This is a fundamental truth.

But in path working the events that occur for each individual are going to be different. The information that's received, seen or perceived during a path working meditation is

going to be specifically related to the person that's going through the work.

This is one very important reason to keep a journal of your works and experiments. 

For comparison and consideration. For your own comparison and consideration. Not someone else's viewpoint.

In this way the reactions of your mind are able to come to conclusions through consideration. The events of the meditational dream will have specific and particular meanings that

you might not necessarily understand right away.

The images that appear during this work are most very often cryptic but the value is often extreme.

The combination of the left and right sides are used in literally every action in your life. 

The symbols, colors, scents, glyphs, animals, plants, powers and every other detail that are shown on one card are the particular relationships of a specific path.

On this card the details that are shown are the relations of path twelve. 

These relations are used to gain a focal point of your position while you're in the meditational state.

I, personally, don't consider it fair to tell another person what they'll see in a meditation. 

But on the other hand there are so many people that are completely unfamiliar with this type of dreaming that they actually can use the guidance, at first.

Just to get a clearer idea of what's going on. Those that use meditation are familiar with the fact that it's an awake dreaming.

Like you're watching a movie and paying attention to the events and occurrences that are showing on the screen.

But, again, more like a dream, you are actually in the movie and you have more sensations happening than just seeing it from a distance.

It's a vast universe we live in and the only way to keep yourself in check is to be familiar with the many different correspondences to verify your actual location during this type

of work. A person can begin by just focusing on one of the symbols of the card.

Blocking out all other thoughts and entering into a meditative state with the one, selected, single symbol in mind. 

It's one way of opening the door to this area of working with paths. 

The automatic mechanism of the mind will begin to offer formations of a wide variety and start to send messages of different sorts.

As you receive these messages, in the beginning, it's better that you continue to return (keep going back) to the (image of) symbol.

Pay attention to what's being said or conveyed because these details should be recorded when you're done with the meditation. 

It's accomplished step by step.

With each step you progress. The degree of progress isn't as important as that you've progressed.

This type of work has been used for thousands of years and it's still common today for spiritual leaders, military leaders, presidents, kings, etc to come up with progressive and

world changing ideas. Don't loose sight of the fact that you're a thinking element in our universe and you're formed with amazing potential.

This work has been known for a very long time to greatly advance a person's nature.  But it can't be forced on someone. It can't be done for someone else.

Only the person that seeks out the answers and does the work on their own volition will get any actual benefit or value from it.

In the overall scheme of things the more people on the planet that are trying the quicker our planet, as a whole, will advance. 

This will occur anyway. But the more people, with experience, building a house. The faster the house is built.
