Bow and Arrow: The bow and arrow in recorded usage dates back to around 12000 years ago or 8000 to 9000 BC but there are actual fossil findings that predate recorded history

that go back even further. 

Of course noted as a means of hunting and protection in this case the bow and arrow carries a specific significance to the straight and direct application of force.

The issue as it is. The history and use is basic and the meaning of this weapon is as well, basic and direct.

Straight and to the point without extreme elaboration as this would only muddle the facts of why this subject appears in this area.
