Crystal:
For centuries the crystal has been
associated to
healing and powers of a wide variety of natures. There
are also a great number of crystalsor crystalline
formations.
But here we are addressing the quartz
crystal. They've
adorned the garments
and jewelry of Kings and Queens since
their discovery by early mankind.
The
main issue with the quartz crystal
is its versatility and vast
number of applications.
There
are an extreme number of
practices and rituals concerning the
use of the crystal, that also go back centuries.
They
have a vast number of mystical
associations and can vary from
the most creative to the most destructive ends.
They
can be boiled in water and mildly
consumed to cure illnesses.
They
can be energized by their owner then buried in the
earth to dispel
unwanted feelings or thoughts.
They
are used to thwart off evil
spells and to create them also.
They
can be given to someone you want to fall in love with you or given
to an
enemy to harm them.
For
pretty much any reason depending
on your desires for the use of
the crystal.
By
today's standards the quartz
crystal is probably the most widely
applied stone for the use of magical or mystical purposes.
Its numbers
are so
vast that a person could write and entire book on this stone, alone, as
I'm
sure many have already.
Once
again the powers of this stone
are probably the most highly
acknowledged stone that is on the planet today, aside from the diamond.
Of
course there's the famous crystal ball that are used by
mediums, psychics and seers, and have been for centuries, to look into
the past
present and future for guidance as well
as personal, military or any
other kind
of advantages.The
quartz crystal is not associated
to a birthstone month.
Pearl:
One of the most venerated gemstones in
history
the pearl has been mentioned and shown in artwork for centuries
also.
Known
to
be very feminine in its nature. The
pearl's values date back
prior to biblical times and the first
references of it are actually found in China.
With
close associations to the
planetary aspect of Luna the pearl
has many positive as well as feminine aspects that have been
mentionedthroughout
time also.
Created
in the water (both salt and
fresh water) the pearl has
direct feminine/watery associations that go hand in hand with not only
it's
creation but
also its known uses
throughout history.
There
are, however, the facts
surrounding the cultivation of pearls
that cannot be overlooked as the acquisition of a pearl involves the
killing of
a pretty
large amount of clams
and oysters, just to find the one pearl.
This
killing is considered to have karmic associations in some
cultures that suggest the person or people that harvest the pearls on a
large
scalewill
have repercussions for this
constant killing of so many for
so few
actual pearls. Although,
there are several other
forms of sea and fresh water
creatures, such as conches and mollusks that create pearls.
The
pearls that have been acclaimed as
highly valuable gemstones are
more commonly found in the salt-water oceans of the world.
The
pearl is mentioned in a great many
religious texts. From
Islamic, Hebrew, Christian, and Hindu.
Also
used widely in magical operations
for the purposes related to,
but not limited to anything having to do with the Lunar/female
nature and
also luck,
fortune, fertility, love
and are far more commonly worn by
women
than men, historically.Pearl
is a precious birthstone for
June in modern birthstones.
Moonstone:
The Moonstone has been thought to be
endowed with
mystical properties due mainly to the fact that when viewed with the
human eye
it appears that light is
coming from beneath the
surface of the stone,
forward to the eye.It's
a phenomenon that's
created by the molecular structure of the
stone.

An optical phenomenon called adularescence
which appears, as stated, to
originate from beneath the surface, forward and also seems to move as
the stone
is turned creating an
effect much like the light of the moon on the
surface of
the water.
This
stone comes in
a variety of natural colors and
has a milky appearance in whites, cream, brown, pink or blue.Found
all around
the globe deposits of moonstone have
been
cultivated from the Alps in Europe,
Tanzania, Brazil, Mexico, India, Myanmar,Madagascar, Sri Lanka,
Pennsylvania
and Virginia.
However, it's Sri Lanka that's known to
produce the highest
quality of the moonstone'scultivation.It
carries strong
feminine aspects and has been
associated to goddesses
throughout the age of mankind's
religions, that are
also directly associatedto water and the moon and has for centuries
been seen
in this light by a great many cultures.
It's
been
used much like the crystal for psychic
works and also longevity, protection, love and fertility. It's
worn
for many reasons concerning these issues
and widely admired by
Wiccan culture for its powers in the home and
ritual.
