High Priestess in a reading of Tarot.

"Learning knowledge. Educating yourself and others.  Proper force and the reality must unite for results."

Reversed; "Ignorance. Lack of training. Superficial knowledge."

This definition seems pretty direct and to the point and it is. That's kind of the idea of the card, overall. Being direct and to the point.

This one card can be looked at closely compared to the stack of 22 major arcana cards to represent what we all go through in life from beginning to end.

We learn, then we use what we've learned and we pass it on to others at some point. But the rest of the related details of this card have a relationship with its overall meaning too.

When the High Priestess comes up in a tarot reading it is a direct female indication first of all.  Look at it as thought and emotion mixing to the degree of a formative beginning.

Its what's called passive-female aspect. The other side of this is the active-female aspect and then there are passive and active male aspects.

It shows some strong similarities to the Magician card and lessons and knowledge but this also implies that balance is part of the issue.

All forms of balance and our most common social imbalance is the male to female concept. Whenever the Lunar aspect is an issue then the female is a given.

When you have a card on either side of this one you create more of a picture of things.  When the card stands alone it speaks differently than when mixed with others.

This picture is an idea for you to have. The idea received is a mix of your training and intuition.

Which eventually end up as form of conclusion.

In a way the best way to read this card is to be this card.

It represents receptive manifestation or in other words passive receiving of something to end up with formation of something else.

The idea is, that without open reception, no further step can be affected (nothing else can be done).

Not only receiving but also being willing to make things change, happen, manifest or come to occur. An interesting point made here is the statement superficial knowledge.

Have you ever spoken to someone that seems to know everything about everything?

I mean you could bring up surgery on a cat and they will start to tell you the type of anesthetic that is used and how it's done even though they have never seen it or done it they will

tell you all about it.

The classic "know it all" syndrome and it seems to be quite popular as I have seen hundreds if not thousands display this aspect.

You might think that in a conversation or room full of people that I would be this person, having written a book such as this but I say to you that I commonly keep my mouth shut and

let other people do the talking unless I am addressed to help the conversation in some way and then I have little to add.

My issue is and will always be what the use and good is for this comment and the worth is the importance and issue. Even if I am well read in a certain area that doesn't mean that I

have the obligation to fully instruct everyone around me on it, whatever it may be.

Superficial knowledge cannot be display through silence.

It is always better to listen and absorb the comments and conversations of others than to rattle on about something you know little about and even if you know a lot about the thing

you are still rattling on unless your instruction leads to saving a life or actually giving assistance to others.
