Dagaz
Probably the most debated rune in my list of runes as to the transfer from Othiz to Dagaz and depending on the era and system being used I can't really help but to have these two
mixed up. I am obligated to report my findings. I can only guess why they made the change from this to that.
The one symbol was used for the other depending on the clan. But honestly I see othiz (othilla) and dagaz to be standing for their first letters, like any other rune O and D.
Dagaz: When this rune is picked in a reading Dagaz holds the message of great transition and changes for a new sun dawning.
Having something re-form from what it began as to what it's becoming.
This change is a new direction and mindset being indicated and although it may not seem obvious you've got the bull by the horns and are stepping up to a higher level.
The runes, like the tarot, can be read either face up, or reversed, so most (reversed) carry warnings along with it, again depending on whether you're reading them mixed together
or individually.
So the warning is, with dagaz, that acting in too much haste will cause problems, but is difficult to avoid when changes are taking place and decisions need to be made promptly.
It advises to take the time and slow down to avoid the hasty decision.
Be calm in the likely torrent of the storm and steadfast in your goal despite the adversities it may cause for you.
