All cerebral excitants.

All cerebral excitants: Here we go again but this time with a different twist as far as the drug concept. I'm not going to get on a big lecture for or against drugs but I will say that in

today's society they are used by 98% of people each and every day.

We each have different reasons for using them and there are common denominators to using too much for too long (addiction).

These denominators vary but the mostly have to do with serving the needs of the self or selfishness.

With addiction the purpose is worth any risk of taking it and there are always risks of some sort or degree.

But in the users viewpoint the benefits outweigh the risks.

In the case of physical addiction, which always occurs (coffee included) over a long extended period of use, and it is much faster with some drugs than with others.

Our compulsive nature makes it easy for us to fall into this chasm of catastrophe.

We like to make ourselves happy and we like to feel good and we are an inquisitive group that wants to try almost everything once.

Certain drugs (coke and meth) force your body to release mass amounts of vitamins, proteins and endorphins (that are presently stored in your system) BANG! Fast and furious and

the rush is nothing less than a trip to heaven from your view and you want nothing more to do than hang out in heaven.

Then the next day you wake up, can barely move with a pounding headache you wonder if it was all worth it and weather or not you're willing to go do it again.

It's really a stupid cycle of repetition that some fall into more than others, of course.

I've seen it all my life and I see that the only thing that can stop you from using is you alone and only you (if addiction is the problem).

Dr. Timothy Leary in the 1950's was a great advocate of mind altering substance use but particularly lysergic acid diethylamide which is a hallucinogenic drug (causes

hallucinations) but I've found that any drug will do that to some degree.

Whatever the case if you are addicted then this is the time you need to screw up and make a mistake, then this is the time for that. Get on with it and get over it.

We all need to find our experiences and we learn not only from our mistakes but also our experiments and by these outcomes determine our own strengths and weaknesses and in

this way gain a better understanding of ourselves.

I've seen plenty of people fall into this hole but it was always up to them to pull themselves all the way out of it and it's easier to get out, but not so easy to stay out, so there are

groups of people around the planet that meet and support each other to stay out of the hole of addiction and help keep each other from falling in. Some people should stick to

chocolate; which is a cerebral excitant also. At least with chocolate they won't wake up naked on the courthouse lawn.

Stability is everything when harnessing this dragon. It's a vicious conniving creature that spins webs of wonder.

Fall into this den and you'll commonly have a tough time getting out clean and alive. One thing to remember in this battle is that you will not slay the dragon.

You will never slay the dragon because it can't be killed, it isn't the drug; it's the feelings you've developed for it.

To kill it would be to kill yourself and that is a pretty cowardly way to run away.

To gain power you must wrestle the beast to the ground and hold him there while you get a harness around its head.

This harness is made from the pain and agony you have caused yourself and others.

Your concerns and convictions for your behavior and the welfare of your loved ones create the bit that keeps this dragon at bay and under your control.

Without the reigns the dragon will always try to take control.

I don't care what excuse you have for it, this is how to handle the primordial drive to satisfy yourself without consequence.

There is always a consequence.
