Sugar

Yes sugar is named as the drug and it actually affects the human body as one.

Here is a drug with an extensive history going back to the first person to chew on the stem of the cane or beet sugar is now cultivated from several sources, cane, beets, maple, fruits,

honey and even corn (maize) are all sources of sugar but the most cultivated form was from the cane and beet which are gathered and cut then crushed and boiled, skimming the

impurities from the top and stirring the brine to eventually crystallize for the trade in market.

According to recorded history up until the 1400's cane was chewed to extract the actual sweetness of sugar and the only known records come from what was once Persia.

The process of crystallizing sugar was kept a secret by Persian tradesman and profiteers.

The parts of the process with both beets and cane sugar that leave behind mostly leftovers (byproducts) a thick gummy molasses and pulps that are dried and used for fuel in lamps,

hearths, oven and furnace.

Sugar comes on several forms as raw and processed sugars and each show a different color and vary in taste to different degrees as well.

Well actually an entire book could be written on the subject itself and has been I'm sure but the issue here is more of how sugar is an effect

being used as a drug and how it has been used for healing and treatment of the physical condition throughout mankind's history.

Sugar has always been seen as a luxury and once it was introduced to chocolate became as addictive to some people as any narcotic.

The consumption of too much sugar can result in type 2 diabetes, obesity and tooth decay but as a drug we have all heard of the term sugar rush and seen the repercussions of

giving a child a large dose of sugar.

Acting as a cerebral excitant sugar can elevate the heart rate and stimulate physical activity.

During certain rituals sugar is placed in the mouth and the energies that are attributed to the knowledge and the affect of practice concerning the intended results of the particular

ritual. If sugar is used in the temple it should be in the direction shown on the card or South by Southeast.

Often there will be cakes and treats passed around during a Wiccan ceremony which will stimulate the social activities in some way not to mention an increase in the basic functions

of the individual metabolism. As popular as it is you know it carries great group agreement but only due to the sweet taste that we get from placing it on our tongue.

At any rate something used in its proper respect has more effect (on things around you) than something used without really thinking about it and I feel that even sugar is such an

item. It has an effect that most people will commonly ignore because it's as natural as filling a glass of water and drinking it or making a pot of coffee so its easy to overlook as

anything that makes any kind of difference in our lives. But to be certain sugar fills cravings and satisfies tastes.
