All Twin Dieties, Castor and Pollux, Freya

All twin deities: Throughout Egyptian mythology there are Gods that are also Goddesses and visa versa and some of these twin in their relations.

Castor and Pollux: These twins got around for a long time starting with the Greeks then onto the Roman and Norse cultures they represented the two natures of man as one was a

god and the other mortal, born by the same mother and different fathers and yet identical twins through which the Gemini was formed and named from the Latin for twins.

Showing later again in the Celtic regions and myths as well even later in history and so you can imagine the great number of references there are to these two throughout all of the

myths in these combined cultures.

They were eventually transformed into the Gemini constellation but were born from the swan or a God (Zeus) that had transformed himself into a swan and in this form seduced their

mother Leda and so she laid an egg with the two of them in it. (The stories vary) Cane and Able of biblical reference are a close association but Cane and Able were not known to be

sports minded in wrestling and athletics and they also didn't fight side by side in battle like Castor and Pollux were known to and of course the good Christian has to interject that they

were only fables.

No matter the truth the point made by Cane and Able was about jealousy and ego and the points made by Castor and Pollux are nobility and brotherhood, union of family and

supporting each other no matter the differences (mortal-immortal).

You may have never heard of this set of twins but they stood for something back in the day and it was great fortitude to the soldiers to have Castor and Pollux there to help them on

the battlefield and even there to watch them as they wrestled and sparred in friendly competition.

Working towards a similar goal and fighting the same cause with brotherhood as an issue these two would cause trouble for others but always worked as a team and toward the end

Castor was mortally wounded and Pollux had to make the decision to give up half his immortality to save his dying brother and of course agreed to that.

Freya: A giving Norse goddess of love and fertility known to have been married to Od or Odin she was known for her tears turning to gold so keeping her depressed was good for

the vault. Reputed as one sexy female she assured agricultural abundance and bounty as well as the childbirth of the people of the land.

She would be the one dancing in the golden field singing songs and in love with the springtime.

She was fabled to be fond of elves and fairies (who isn't?) and known to have intimate affairs with them as well.

She'll come up again and I don't want to spoil the ending.
