The Four Fold Breath Technique.


The first thing to do in any meditational technique is relax.

Get into a secluded space, if possible and a calm and relaxed state of mind.

Find a comfortable (commonly seated) position that you do not sleep in.

Have a journal for recording all of your work in magick handy, in front of you with a pen.
Clear your mind of any and all thoughts except the exercise.

Once calm, breath in slowly and deeply to the silent count of four.

Hold your breath in to the same count of four.

Breath out to the same count again.

Now hold your breath out to the same count of four.

Do this exercise until you are focused only on your breath and the count, that only.

The breath and the count, calm and relaxed.

That's the Four Fold Breath.

This exercise precedes many other works of meditation and is the first most basic work.

After a sufficient period of calm, decide when you are finished.

Open your magical journal and record all thoughts, feelings, occurances and happenings that occurred during your time in the exercise.
